And what’s with the pipes?
Magritte was wrong. Even now, it’s still a pipe. It always was. Every single one of them.
I count sixteen.
Magritte’s famous assertion, “This is not a pipe,” was based on a wrong assumption about the nature of existence. He did not have access to the latest studies on consciousness and the power of visualization. The conceptual mistake was made from the start. This work reveals that.

In the age of code, prompts, and machines, we risk making the same mistake. We risk believing that the tool replaces the author. That the process erases intention. But more importantly, we can still find intention in the black box. Just as we once found it in breath, in ink, in silence, or in dust. The tools changed. The meaning did not.

/
And what's with the Pipes? Mirror Making of Sixteen Pipes applies The Age of Beauty: A Manifesto and the visual framework introduced in Mirror Making of a Manifesto to correct one of modern art’s most iconic provocations by Magritte.

Have a look behind the scenes, where and when I realized Magritte's mistake, here.
